Hey Johnny I'd like to think I am still that same young nutty kid at Waynewood. I try and not be too serious life does it on its own. Divorce, jobs, kids, health, money. You don't have to think about that when you are young, ice cream, going to the pool, checking out girls, sports it's all good and no one expects anything from you.

I had good times with Tom Cox, Jimmy Deighton, Luke, Bobby Russel, Bobby Mckinney, Jamie Duncker, Jeff Hernholm, Mike Vardac, David Knoch. We really had it good and sometimes we don't realize till later. if you are ever back in the area please let me know good to get together for a beer. Although if you live in SD why would you ever come back the weather is perfect!

You've gotten serious in your adulthood. Yep, good times. Many of my memories include some stuff involving you. A certain trip to lake Anna with John Harms and the fateful ride home ranks up there.

Good to hear from you too. All good here. No masterful accomplishments. Just plodding along. Still in SD. I need to get back to see my family more often. Congrats on who are, I assume, lovely kids. Keep in touch.

Johnny how you doing, the last I heard about you you were in San Diego. A lawyer I think hope all is well I am livinging Alexandria divorced with two daughters scary we're all grown up. that is all that we need. I remember putting gym mats down so we could dunk in the big gym. Take care it is nice to hear from you johnny. jimmy

I thought anyone who didn't go to Waynewood was a refugee, just a little subdivision humor......We were lucky, not everyone was blessed to go to the best elementary school in the world!

Ms. Burdette - best grammer teacher ever! I don't remember much about the other schools, other than being uncomfortable and inconvenienced... looking back, I suppose they were as well!

Hey Stephanie it was terrible. But I didn't mind going to school at Mt. Vernon or particurlarly Groveton. I knew many of the kids because we went to school with them at Stephen Foster Ed Hahn, Carl Dutzman they knew your brother Steven. I really liked the guys at Groveton. Carl Dutzman got me my own locker at Groveton it was one of the nicest things anyone did for me. I played baseball since we started school at noon we got out usually by 2! I still wished the fire hadn't happened but the kids were pretty nice I am not sure how I would have felt if we had to share our school with Mt. Vernon or Groveton Hope you're doing ok Ms. Burdette/Ms. Mills right - Stephen Foster? thanks, jimmy

that was a horrible time. I remember cleaning the library books with that artists grey erasure stuff.. what a mess. And I remember having to go to school at Mt. Vernon and Groveton, where we were all hated.

And I never did see my orange and black "running suit" again after that fire... I still miss that suit (NOT).

But the good news is that it's still a school... my neices and nephews all went there.

I was thinking that maybe someone could get some passes to one of the local pools Waynewood, Stratford, Mt. Vernon and people could go there or maybe a bike ride on the bike path.

See, I was smart enough way back when to avoid having my picture taken for the yearbook senior year. Very keen forsight on my part.

Unfortunately I did end up in it several times, courtesy of Becky Smith, our intrepid year book photographer, but not in the standard "deer in the headlights" pose. One memorable photo had me standing next to Mike Capeletti, me hold two beers and him holding a smoking device that may or may not have been in use for the dispensation of illegal substances.

That's why my year book is long gone. Can't have that around for the kids to see.

Wow, I had completely forgotten about that fire. I was a student at Waynewood at the time. My only recollection was our teachers telling us to all be extra nice to the kids coming in, because of the trauma of their school burning down.

I remember thinking you guys were like refugees coming in from a war zone or something, the way they put it to us. Turns out to have not been a big deal. I think we all got along great.

I remember that too. I also went to Stratford. Shortly after we were there they returned some items to us, one of which was a pencil box I had in my desk at the time of the fire. It had soot on it and smelled of smoke. Amazing the things that stay with you. So many excellent memeories there otherwise--I loved Mrs. Howerton, though Mrs. McGuire I could have done without!
